The invention discloses a precision detection method of a tube azimuth orienting device. The method comprises the following steps: S1: a tube auxiliary device is installed, a cross line is arranged in the front end of the tube, an intersection point of the cross line and an axis of the tube are superposed, a disc with a central aperture is fixedly installed at the end terminal of the tube, and the axis of the disc central aperture and the tube axis are superposed; S2: a tube axis is simulated; S3: a simulated tube axis azimuth is measured, the azimuth and an orienting device measured value are compared, and orientation error of the orienting device is obtained. Two mark points are used in order to simulate the tube axis, the azimuth of a line determined by the two mark points measured by two GPS receivers and the azimuth measured by the orienting device are compared, in order determine the orientation precision of the orienting device.
