La construcción socio-espacial del Opy en el tekoha de Ñembiará, Caagazú: Territorio, materia y cultura Mbya-Guaraní

2020
The research developed advances in the identity relations that keep the Mbya-Guarani people together, throughout the times and in spite of the successive colonization processes they have suffered. This required to break down the layers that make up this identity and establish the scales and graphic methods necessary to show the symbolic and intangible union of Mbya society with the physical environment through its architecture. Achitecture that needs to be studied from participatory action-research methods in order to avoid value judgments contaminated by contemporary academic views. We present the case study of Opy’s relations in the Community of Nembiara. We reflect the relations between matter and Mbya identity, starting from its position in the territory, its communication with it and the intervention of the material and the natural in the construction and definition of space.
