Cordoma: Reporte de caso y revisión de la literatura

The case of a patient who inicially presented with dysphonia, dysphagia and dysnea is depicted in this article; Computarized Tomography of the head, nasofibrolaryngoscopy and biopsy were performed, pathology results reported a tumor compatible with cordoma, and because it was not possible to perform surgery, treatment with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and imatinib and was started. Cordomas are slow growing tumors that originate from embriological remnants of the notocord; clinical manifestations are variable and depend of the localization of the tumor. Diagnosis can be made through histopathology and surgical removal is the prefered form of treatment, although it is not always possible.
