Tratamento da hipersensiblidade dentinária cervical

Introduction: Dentin hypersen- sitivity is a problem that affects a large population, is manifested as a painful symptom that occurs in areas of dentin exposure to the external environ- ment and their main etiological factors are erosion, abrasion and abfraction. There are various forms of treatment for this clinical manifestation available in the market, which may be cited topical substances and laser therapies. Objective: This paper presents the objective of comment the main forms of treat- ment of cervical dentin hipersensivity. Methodology: For this purpose we performed a literature review of key articles relevant to the topic considering some databases (bireme, PubMed, LILACS, BBO) in the period 1983 to 2009, and textbooks. Conclusion: It was concluded that the cervical dentin hypersensitivity can efficiently be treated by topical substances and laser therapy. Keywords|Dentin sensitivity; Laser therapy; Treatment.
