A Novel Design about AMI's Online Supporting System

2021
With the construction and development of digital grid and the generation of massive electricity consumption data, how to achieve the collection and management of unified metering data from multi-service applications and to optimize the control method of Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) has been a hotspot of current research. Herein, a unified AMI system across security zones was designed, which used the digital twin auxiliary information system as a supporting system to simulate a multi-service data model. With the comprehensive analysis of the digital twin auxiliary information system to the running results from the model, the collection system could grasp the needs of the application system in real time, thereby dynamically adjusting collection frequency. Furthermore, field running test on this system was carried out in the Measurement Center of Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau, and it verified that the system had the ability to collect data in seconds. the simulation results were analyzed to adjust collection time interval taking load forecasting and spot trading business as examples, using forecast accuracy and power purchase cost as indicators. Finally, it is determined that when the collection frequency is one minute, it could meet the indicator that the average absolute percentage error of load forecast was less than 1%. And in the meantime, the purchase cost deviation of the electricity sellers was much smaller than the 2% error specified by the standard.
