The Task Force discussed meetings, Task Force member perceptions on meeting participation and the relationship of the AMP to items discussed at at the Academic Affairs forum the previous Monday. The participants discussed how the Task Force operated and made progress during the 2011-2012 Academic Year. The challenges faced in putting Task Force information and thoughts together in a way that can convince skeptical campus members was discussed.

2012 
The relationship between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the AMP was discussed at length. It was generally agreed that Phase 2 will be more difficult to accomplish, and that the overall AMP is a significant part of defining our identity as an institution. In this context, it was discussed how the AMP Phase 1 Task Force can help create and define a mission statement for Academic Affairs. Different ways to transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 was also discussed at length. Resource allocation models, and campus concerns with resource availability were discussed in the context of overall campus climate, accreditation. How the AMP might be related to future resource allocations was also part of the conversation. With regards to Phase 2, the constitution of a Phase 2 Task Force was discussed as was the relationship of the new Deans to the AMP. The Provost asked Task Force members to suggest representatives and ideas on the composition of the Phase 2 Task Force or group.
