IS MESENTERIC PANNICULITIS A SIGN FOR AUTOIMMUNE DIABETES IN ADULTS

Abstract Novelty statement Mesenteric panniculitis (MP) and sclerosing mesenteritis (SM) is an umbrella term used to describe a rare, chronic, frequently benign fibrosing inflammatory disease of the adipose tissue in the mesentery. MP/SM diagnosis is usually based on imaging (CT or MRI) findings and is confirmed by biopsy. We report an unusual case of a patient with mesenteric panniculitis with typical CT findings and diabetes.
