Unsteady reflection of a shock from a wedge for the Boltzmann equation

The interaction of a shock wave with a wedge, accompanied by the formation of either a regular or an irregular (Mach) configuration of shock waves, is investigated by direct numerical solution of the Boltzmann equation. A conservative splitting method is used. A wedge at different angles, with different accommodation coefficients and different temperatures of the surface is considered. Experiment and calculations carried out by other methods are compared.
