Investigation of Flow Behavior and Plastic Strain Distribution of Dual Phase Steel in Bending Under Tensile Loading

2019
Abstract To forecast the plastic strain and flow behaviour of DP steel, a Bending under Tension (BUT) simulation and a micromechanical modelling based accession by aid of a Representative Volume Element (RVE) was engaged. The strain deformation behaviour is attained by applying macroscopic modelling of an orthodox Bending-Under-Tension (BUT) model. A consecutive microscopic modelling was enforced by acknowledging arbitrary phase distribution of close to practical microstructure by 2D RVE. Affinity amid microscopic behaviour and macroscopic (BUT model) comprising strain and stress distribution, were extracted from edge region RVE modelling. The macro-micro modelling prospective inflates the impression of steel microstructure, which will facilitate the microstructure to be implemented for numerous utilization in automobile industry.
