Ultra-Wideband MIMO Array Antenna New Decoupling Structure

2020
Based on the traditional monopole microstrip antenna, a dual-sector ultra-wideband MIMO array antenna is designed. The array consists of two ultra-wideband monopole antennas with the same structure, both of which are fed by microstrip lines. By smoothing the ground plate radiation patch and cutting out the rectangular groove, the impedance matching degree of the antenna is improved, the bandwidth range of the antenna is widened, and the normal operation in the frequency range of 2GHz~16GHz is finally realized. By adding a two-step structure on the back of the antenna and two symmetrical rectangular stubs on the front, the isolation of the antenna in the 2GHz~16GHz frequency range is lower than − 20dB, the highest gain can reach 11.6dB. Moreover, the radiation direction is almost full, and is suitable for UWB wireless communication systems.
