EnglishThe aims of this study were to prepare and analyze the physicochemical properties of the microparticles of ascorbic acid (AA) encapsulated with galactomannan extracted from seeds of Delonix regia species, by the spray drying technique. The microparticles were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), encapsulation efficiency and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Spherical microspheres were obtained with mean diameter in the range of 1.39 ± 0.77μm. The encapsulation efficiency was 90.98% and the drug content of 9.10%. portuguesO objetivo do trabalho em estudo foi preparar e analisar as caracteristicas fisico–quimicas das microparticulas de acido ascorbico (AA) encapsuladas com galactomanana extraida das sementes da especie Delonix regia, pelo processo spray drying. As microparticulas preparadas foram caracterizadas por calorimetria explanatoria diferencial (DSC), eficiencia de encapsulamento, microscopia eletronica de varredura (MEV) e apresentaram morfologia com intervalo de tamanho de particula media 1,39 ± 0,77 μm. A eficiencia de encapsulacao foi de 90,98% e o teor de farmaco de 9,10%.
