Especially in the high end automobile market automotive air conditioning is becoming more and more a standard instead of a luxury item. Taking the AUDI A6, modelyear 1997 as an example, the technical problems of automotive air conditioning and their solutions are discussed and explained. The current technologies of the components of an automotive air condition system and several approaches to the control of such a system are discussed.
