Measuring Latency and Availability for Ultra Wide Band RFID Real-time Location Systems

2019
Real-time Location Systems (RTLS) are important technology utilized to provide spatial and temporal location information to Industry 4.0 systems. We discuss in more details ultra-wide band radio frequency identification systems (WB RFID). We proposed utilization of visualization and data analytics techniques to quantify and examine latencies and availability and demonstrated their potential usages in a large scale environment. The proposed methodology could easily be extended to other RTLS systems with similar configuration.
