RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN CARBON DIOXIDE CORROSION OF N80 WELL TUBE STEEL

Recent developments in carbon dioxide corrosion of N80 well tube steel,the key factors of corrosion and research directions for the future are reviewed in the article.So far,some important results that there is a peak value of corrosion rate with increasing of temperature,CO2 partial pressure,velocity of flow;the structure of corrosion production scale effects on the process and formation of corrosion and only continuous,compact and high cohesion scale can restrain corrosion aggravating;reaction mechanism becomes more complicated when oil or H2S is added to the medium resulting in transmission process and interface state changing are found.Especially,investigation on effects of the varieties of corrosion parameters on the structure and mechanical properties of corrosion product scale should be carried systematically.Henceforth,the keystones are detailing the sensitivity region that corrosion parameters effect on corrosion rate,improving the method of dynamic simulatation test and probing into the dynamic electrochemical in-situ measurement technique.
