The nature of the Entrepreneurial Orientation influence in performance in different landscapes

This paper addresses the differential impact of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) dimensions on business performance, looking at the nature of these relationships in the context of the emerging economy Brazil. The study further considers the contextual role of technological turbulence in the business landscape. To the endeavor we surveyed Brazilian managers and inquired about their organizations’ EO. Findings revealed that EO’s dimensions innovativeness and proactiveness have a positive effect on performance, whereas risk taking effect was non relevant. When considering the interactions between EO’s dimensions in different contexts of technological turbulence, the impact in business performance produced varied results with positive and adverse effects.
