Effect of Community-based Rehabilitation Upon Motor Functions and Activities of Daily Living of Cerebral Apoplexy Patients

Objective To observe and analyze the effects of community-based rehabilitation on motor function and activities of daily living(ADL) in cerebral apoplexy patients.Methods 46 cases of cerebral apoplexy patients were enrolled according to relevant standards,who were given standard rehabilitation care in Desheng Community Health Service Center(treatment group),while another 37 similar cases from subordinate health service stations(control group) given only rehabilitation guidance once a week.Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA) and Bathel index rating scale were used to observe the therapeutic effects of both groups.Results The motor function of treatment group was improved more significantly after treatment than before,and more than that of control group(P0.05).Conclusion The professional community-based rehabilitation for cerebral apoplexy patients is an indispensable means.
