Integrated agricultural biomass refinery systems

TVA is developing integrated biomass refinery systems for the production of fuel, feed, food, and chemicals from cellulosic feedstocks. Concentrated acid hydrolysis processing is the core of these systems. The integrated systems concept is presented, along with the results of concentrated acid hydrolysis processing of a variety of cellulosic feedstocks.
