Method of removing impurity iron from platinum-tin reforming catalyst

2014
The invention relates to a method of removing impurity iron from a platinum-tin reforming catalyst, which includes following steps: (1) burning the inactivated platinum-tin reforming catalyst, placing the burned catalyst into an iron removal soaking device and adding sodium oxalate for soaking the catalyst; (2) after the catalyst is soaked, sucking-out a soaked sodium oxalate solution, and washing the soaked platinum-tin reforming catalyst and placing the soaked catalyst in a catalyst processing pot; (3) adding molten pure citric acid into the catalyst processing pot for soaking the catalyst; (4) taking out the treated catalyst and drying the catalyst; and (5) performing regeneration to the platinum-tin reforming catalyst treated through the step (4). The method is simple in process, is low in cost, is good in iron removal effect, can reduce the iron content to 0.02% after iron removal and can increase the specific surface area of the catalyst by 5-10 m /g.
