Combined carburizing cycles for 20KhGNR steel

The results are given of investigations of the structure and properties of the surface layer of 2OKhGNR steel after combined nonisothermal carburizing cycles in natural gas. The parameters of the cycles providing significant intensification of the diffusion processes were established. The microstructure of the carburized case was investigated and a hypothetical mechanism explaining the anomaly of diffusion of carbon in nonisothermal treatment cycles is proposed.
