The invention provides a recycling method of ruthenium in an active-carbon-loaded ruthenium catalyst. The recycling method comprises the following steps: roasting a reduced or unreduced active-carbon-loaded ruthenium catalyst at 400 DEG C to 800 DEG C for 4h to 20h; dissolving a residual solid obtained by roasting into excessive acid and filtering again to prepare a solid containing a main component ruthenium dioxide. The recycling method of the ruthenium in the active-carbon-loaded ruthenium catalyst has the advantages that the calcining temperature is low, operation procedures are simple and convenient, a recycling form of products is selective, the recovery rate is high and energy sources are saved.
