Oxygen-18 and deuterium isotope effect on the freezing-point of dilute water + dioxan solutions
1976
Freezing points of dilute H216O, D216O and H218O + dioxan solutions were measured by equilibrium technique in the concentration range 0.03 to 0.8 mol kg–1. No isotope effect on the association factor of water was found within the precision of the measurements, estimated as being about ±2.5 %, therefore the anomalously low dimerization constant of H218O earlier reported in the literature must be due to some experimental error.
