Effects of Different Dietary Protein Levels on Growth Performance and Body Composition of Babylonia formosae

2006
Babylonia formosae was fed diets containing different protein levels(48.16%,45.64%,(40.67%),(35.68%,)30.80% or 25.96%)to investigate growth performance and body composition of Babylonia formosae at different period of time(10 d,27 d,37 d,47 d,respectively),using fresh frozen-fish as control. The result showed that Babylonia formosae fed different dietary protein levels have no significantly change(25%~48%CP)in growth performance.Although feed conversion rate and protein efficiency could be improved to certain extent with increase in dietary protein contents,no significantly effects among groups fed diets(30% CP).When fed 25% CP feed, the feed conversion rate(2.3) was significantly higher than that fed diets(25% CP).Most body composition indices(crude protein, crude lipid, moisture, total amino acids)of Babylonia formosae showed no significantly difference among all groups.Growth performance of Babylonia formosae fed diets were significantly lower than that of the control group.
