The invention discloses a remote judgment system for a fault point of a power transmission line based on a camera, which comprises a plurality of fault detection devices, a camera for monitoring the power transmission line, a communication device and a central master station, and is characterized in that the fault detection devices are arranged on the power transmission line and used for acquiring power transmission parameters of the power transmission line and sending the power transmission parameters to the communication device in a wireless communication mode; the camera is arranged on a tower and used for acquiring image information of the power transmission line and sending the image information to the communication device through a wired network; the communication device is arranged on the tower of the power transmission line and used for sending the power transmission parameters and the image information to the central master station; and the central master station is used for performing judgment on a fault of the power transmission line according to the power transmission parameters and the image information and further figuring out a fault point. The operation and maintenance personnel can also figure out a fault point of the power transmission line without performing on-site searching according to the system, so that the system is enabled to easily solve a problem that on-site searching for a fault point is difficult.
