BASIC PHYSICOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED FROM EAST SIKKIM

Water is one of the most important substance found in nature. It is present almost everywhere. All animals, plants and humans need water to survive. Water has been important for us for thousands of years. Without water there would be no life on earth. Chemically water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen. It exists in gaseous, liquid, and solid states. Water is one of the major solvent used up the pharmaceuticals. Water plays an important role in the pharmaceutical industry. It may be used as an excipient, or used for reconstitution of products, during synthesis, during production of finished product, or as a cleaning agent for rinsing vessels, equipment and primary packing materials.
