Usus: : A community website for those interested in the usage of online content

In 2014, Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources (COUNTER) sponsored the development of Usus, an independent website, to provide a valuable resource for the community of librarians, publishers, vendors, and others with an interest in usage of online resources. Usus (Latin for usage) is run by librarians and provides a forum to discuss issues related to usage, seek answers to questions about usage, and to provide suggestions and input on future COUNTER and Standardized Usage Statistics Harvesting Initiative initiatives. This column offers a tour of Usus, providing a glimpse of what it offers, including a detailed examination of some of the tools it makes available.
