Numerical Simulation of One-dimensional Traffic Flow upon Improved Space Time Steps

This paper,on the basis of studying the existing macroscopic model of traffic flow,applied difference method to simulating traffic flow model of Model BD.In order to guarantee the precision and stability of the calculation,the paper introduced the concept of"velocity",and proposed an improved algorithm of time and space steps,taking into consideration the influence of place average speed and traffic flow of density in making time step calculation.The numerical simulation result indicates that the improved algorithm is feasible.
