Impacto de la sentencia de la CIDH en relación a las comunidades afrodescendientes desplazadas de la cuenca del Río Cacarica - operación génesis

Operation Genesis - executed between 24 and 27 February 1997 - could be an operation over part of the security forces against groups outside the law. But the historical memory of the country reminds us of the shocking story behind the military maneuver in the area, not only by events but by the deployment of troops by army and paramilitary simultaneously, first with Operation Genesis and seconds with Cacarica operation, hence their social and human impact has been so great and is one of the worst humanitarian tragedies that the country has experienced and that represented the Colombian State a conviction by Inter-American Commission on human Rights, the which will be discussed throughout this document.
