Magnetic ordering, Kondo lattice behaviour in (CePd3)8T (T=Ga, In and Sn) compounds

Abstract We have studied (Ce x La 1− x Pd 3 ) 8 Ga ( x =0.05, 0.1, 0.2 and 1) alloys and find that previously reported Kondo lattice compound (CePd 3 ) 8 Ga [Gordon et al., Physica B 225 (1996) 23] orders magnetically at 3.6 K. Heat capacity measurements on other isotypic compounds (CePd 3 ) 8 T (T=In and Sn) confirm magnetic ordering, which is of first order type in (CePd 3 ) 8 In.
