Analysis on imaging characteristics of adrenal adenomas

2012
Objective To explore the CT,MRI performance characteristics of adrenal adenomas,so as to improve the accuracy of the diagnostic imaging of adrenal adenoma. Methods The CT,MRI imaging data of 12 cases of pathologically confirmed adrenal adenomas were analyzed retrospectively. Results Twelve patients were given CT scan,4 patients of who were also given MRI scan. The results of CT scan showed that 9 cases had function with a diameter of 0.8-3.2 cm,and 3 cases had not function with a diameter of 3.5-4.0 cm;the edges were smooth and rounded in 7 rounds and 5 ovals;10 cases showed uniform density,2 cases of large tumors showed uneven density.Plain CT scan values were-16-27 HU,early enhanced scanning CT value increased to 21.6-65.3 HU.4 cases showed strengthen the surrounding thin samples.9 cases of enhancement mode were the type of rapid rise and rapid decline.3 cases were the type of rise slowly after rapid decline. The results of MRI examination showed that signal strength of 4 cases were similar and had a little bit higher to the hepatic parenchyma on T1WI and T2WI respectively, signal was more homogeneous;gradient echo was characterized by varying degrees diminution of anti-tumor signal phase which was similar with the counter-phase check. Conclusion CT,MRI performance of adrenal adenomas has a certain characteristic which combined with the clinical manifestations and biochemical tests and has the higher the accuracy of qualitative diagnosis.
