Pressure effect on magnetic transitions in heavy-fermion antiferromagnet Ce2RhIn8
2007
Abstract Detailed magnetization measurements under pressure have been performed on tetragonal heavy-fermion antiferromagnet Ce 2 RhIn 8 single crystals. From the results of field and temperature dependences of the magnetic transitions, we construct the magnetic field–temperature phase diagrams of Ce 2 RhIn 8 at several pressures up to 6 kbar, in magnetic fields up to 55 kOe between 1.8 and 3 K. The antiferromagnetic long-range order of Ce 2 RhIn 8 is suppressed by pressure.
