Screen with an elastically deformable screen for sizing wet coal

Presents a new type of vibration screen for wet anthracites in coal preparation plants. The GEhDP experimental unit is equipped with two screens: the upper screen made of steel with 25 x 25 mm meshes and the lower screen made of elastic rubber with meshes 7 x 25 mm which is set in a wave-like motion by screen vibrations. Design of the screen is shown in a scheme. Angular velocity of the GEhDP vibrator ranges from 73 to 79 degrees/s, the amplitude of screen body vibrations amounts to 5 mm, angle of body inclination is 16 degrees. Two screens have a surface of 6 m/SUP/2. The screen is 3,950 mm long, 2,380 mm wide, and 2,990 mm high. It weighs 5,500 kg. Tests of the GEhDP screen in the Partizantsk coal preparation plant show that screening efficiency is from 2 to 3 times higher than that of GIL screens. In comparison to GIL screens critical moisture content in coal being screened with the GEhDP can be increased by 3%. The assumed economic advantage associated with use of 1 GEhDP screen amounts to 100,000 rubles/ year. (In Russian)
