Descripción de factores clínicos y angiográficos asociados a hemorragia en malformaciones arteriovenosas cerebrales tratadas con embolización

Arteriovenous malformations are congenital lesions affecting 0.01 to 0.05% of the population with symptoms generally appearing in people 20 to 40 years old. Treatment may be surgical or intravascular. Twenty six patients were treated during two years with intravascular embolization varying from 50% to 90%. Five presented bleeding and two died. The remaining patients received radiotherapy and 4 were surgically treated with good results.
