À la défense des mélodies « marginales » chez les trouvères : le cas de Thibaut IV de Champagne

2013
This article makes a case for including in future critical editions of the trouveres, both electronic and print, the melodic isolates from codices such as Paris, Bibliotheque nationale de France, fr. 1591 (R) and Paris, Bibliotheque nationale de France, fr. 24406 (V). An argument based on melodic structure and poetic genre favors one particular mode of manuscript transmission while suggesting a possible origin for these unica, following which a number of them are analyzed from a structural and aesthetic point of view.
