Investigation on the influencing factor of life quality of elderly rectal cancer patients with colostomy

Objective To study the influencing factor of life quality of elderly rectal cancer patients with colostomy,and provide bases for improving their life quality.Methods A total of 60 elderly rectal cancer patients with colostomy were selected and investigated with the life quality lasting for 3 months after the operation.Logistic regression analysis method was used to carry out factors analysis.Results The average score of life quality of all patients was (28.15 +2.24) ; and through investigation and analysis,awareness of illness,the attitude to the treatment,coordination degree of families were the main influencing factors.Conclusions The life quality of elderly rectal cancer patients with colostomy is related to many factors,mainly psychological factor.So in the process of diagnosis and treatment,the patients should be offered the psychological support and positive nursing intervention to improve their life quality.
