Trace Elements in Cellular Fractions of Normal and Carcinogenic Tissues from Human Urinary Bladder

1987
In the past few years there have been intensive investigations to find specific causative agents in human carcinogenesis. Since Rehn had studied carcinoma of different urinary bladder agents, like aromatic amines — especially 2-aminonaphthalene (Rehn 1895), tryptophane-metabolites, phenacitine and oncogene are held responsible for the etiology of these tumors. It seems that these organic chemicals induce multi- factorially a multistage carcinogenesis in the epithelial tissue of the urinary bladder together with urinary infections (Kunze 1984; Rice 1983), the consumption of tobacco as well as the waste of saccharine.
