IoT-Based Smart Pipeline Leakage Detecting System for Petroleum Industries

2020
Worldwide, oil and gas exploration and production division takes a large part of the world economy, and the development of the industry is expected to increase in the future. Pipeline accidents are one of the major problems all over the world. Many regulations and federations are opted by nation in order to reduce pipeline leakage problems either internally or externally. Pipeline leakage often induces environmental contamination if the leakage is not observed on time. During the last decade, various pipeline leakages methods were proposed to determine some possible pipeline leakage detections. The temperature variations in the pipeline can be detected by capturing an image using an infrared camera, where the image captured by the infrared camera is called a thermogram. For pipeline leakage detection, effectively integrated technology is still not found in the petroleum industry for the oil and gas conveying process.
