Il paziente emodializzato e il caregiver familiare. Percezioni a confronto sulla malattia cronica

According to health psychology, the family caregiver (fc), i.e. the person who takes care of a hemodialysedpatient, plays a pivotal role in coping with dialysis. This study explored and compared the lifestyle and the main needs ofa cohort of hemodialysis patients, with reduced personal autonomy, to their fc, evaluating some psychological functionalparameters, such as the perception of familial and social support, the psychological quality of life, the disability due tochronic illness, and the communication style.
