Functions and Curves Analysis of Air Indicators Pollutant Emission in Transport Sector of Tehran

2016
The most important mobile sources of pollution include light and heavy vehicles and its related issues that based on statistics more than 75% of air pollution in Tehran metropolis is result of mobile sources. For this reason, research and investigation in this area is necessary to find the best and most practical solution to help decision makers of country to overcome this problem. The first step in this area is to analyze functions and curves of air indicators pollutant emissions. In this study, emission coefficients based on data obtained from measurements carried out in Tehran, fuel analysis and test in the engine test center of Sweden (MTC) have been determined. The information needed to estimate these curves has been obtained by emission coefficients calculated by air pollution reports of Tehran Municipality. Emission coefficients for all types of vehicles that are currently used in Tehran have been calculated. This investigation has been conducted for the five main indicators of Tehran air pollution, including carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, suspended particulate matters, and hydrocarbons based on data collection and accurate statistical information. Analysis results of these curves provide special contribution in providing different pollutant emissions model, contributing specially in considered models and possible estimates.
