Study on Insect Diversity in Eucalypt Plantations

During three consecutive years of spring and summer survey, 18 428 insect specimens were collected,belonging to 18 orders,82 families and 134 species.After a short time of afforestation,insect diversity in eucalypt plantations was decreased.But 2～3 years later,it could be restored or even more than before.In eucalypt plantations,the structure of different functional insects sub-community was reasonable,and species of enemy insects were rich,which played a good role in natural control of plant-eating insect populations.
