RANKING THE FACTORS INFLUENCING THE LACK OF EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION OF EMPLOYEES IN THE POLL SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF IRANIAN OIL TERMINALS COMPANY)

The study population consisted of 1500 managers and employees of Iranian Oil Terminals Company. The sample size of 306 individuals was selected using Krejcie & Morgan’s standard table. List of participants was selected based on random sampling method. The data were obtained using guided interview consisted of 65 questions. The results of Friedman ranking method in terms of the variables indicate that the prioritization is as follows: The variable of organizational culture with the average rating of 7.82 possesses the top priority, the variable of ability of employees with the average rating of 7.08 possesses the second priority, the variable of employees’ commitment with the average rating of 6.61 possesses the third priority, the variable of job satisfaction with the average rating of 6.28 possesses the fourth priority, the variable of leadership style with the average rating of 5.53 possesses the fifth priority, the variable of job difficulty with the average rating of 5.07 possesses the sixth priority, the variable of participation with the average rating of 4.87 possesses the seventh priority, the variable of the level of organization technology with the average rating of 4.19 possesses the eighth priority, the variable of employees’ cognition with the average rating of 3.86 possesses the ninth priority and the variable of organizational values with the average rating of 3.69 possesses the tenth priority. The results of Spearman correlation coefficient in terms of the variables show that there is a direct relationship between the variables of job satisfaction, level of organizational culture, level of organizational technology and leadership style and the effective participation of employees in the poll system. But, there is a reverse relationship between the variables of job difficulty, employees’ cognition and organizational values and the effective participation of employees in the poll system.
