Corrigendum to “A multicenter evaluation of the PCA3 molecular urine test: Pre-analytical effects, analytical performance, and diagnostic accuracy” [Clinica Chimica Acta 389 (2008)L-6]
2009
Also required are changes to lines 6 and 7 in Section 3.1 (Pre-analytical effects), where the informative rate percentages corresponding to cancer positive and cancer negative patients were switched. Please see below the corrected sentence: Whereas post-DRE specimens provided a high informative rate of 95.5% (96.7% and 94.3% in cancer negative and cancer positive patients, respectively), both FMV and pre-DRE specimens provided markedly lower rates (80.4% and 74.4%, respectively), indicating the need to manipulate the prostate in order to shed enough prostate cells to accurately quantify transcripts.
