Mitigative effects of salicylic acid and aspirin on salt stress-induced injuries in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) during the stage of seedling growth

1998
The results showed that, salicylic acid and aspirin can relatively increased the leaf relative water content, decrease the leaf relative electronic conductivity and salt stress-induced injuries of plasma membrane, promote the activity of membrane protective enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD), and delay the accumulation of malon dialdehyde (MDA).
