TYPIFICATION AND DEFINITION OF DORONICUMAUSTRIACUM JACQ. (ASTERACEAE)

This study tries to clarify the morphological differential characters of Doronicum austriacum (Asteraceae). Until now they were not clearly defined, mainly those referring to the presence or absence of some types of trichomes in its indumentum. Furthermore, tiiking into account Jacquin's protologue as well as materials attributable to him, we consider as Icctotype o[Doronicum austriacum, a specimen from the original materials dejxjsited in the Herbarium LINN.
