The present invention provides a cold atmospheric plasma jet using the surface modification method of a metal material, natural material surface processing technology. The energetic electrons in the plasma jet method, the water molecules, the oxygen-containing molecular oxygen to produce active particles and the particles occurs by a cold atmosphere inelastic collision; active particles with an oxygen-containing metal surface chemical reaction, oxygen-containing functional groups into the metal the material surface; wherein the cold plasma jet is bare cold plasma electrode a corona discharge generated by the discharge jet generator form. The method does not require complex vacuum equipment, may be modified to achieve a specified position and a large-sized metallic surfaces by controlling the size of the jet or jet trajectory, and low cost, simple and flexible, environmental pollution, is a green surface modification method . The present invention is also applicable to surface modification of various non-metallic materials.
