Research on the speed control system of marine diesel engines bases on Robust PID controller

Speed control system is the core of marine diesel engines remote control system.At present, in China and other countries, electronic digital speeder as a speed control system is being used in most advanced speed control system of ship, which makes the main diesel engine remote control system more "intelligent". The most important problem in common PID control is the parameter adjustment. Once the adjustment is finished, the parameter is invariable in the whole control process .In fact, because of the uncertainty of states and parameters in the process of most real system, the performance of the system hardly get the optimization, at worse, it may induce the system's unsteadiness. In this paper, we introduce that the application of Robust PID control in speed control system of marine diesel engine, and the results of simulation show that Robust PID control has a good control performance and Robustness.
