Energy Efficiency of Buildings and Application of Variable Refrigerant Volume Air Conditioning System

There are many different opinions about the application of variable refrigerant volume air conditioning system since design standard for energy efficiency of public buildings(GB50189-2005) was announced.Characteristics of variable refrigerant volume air conditioning system were analyzed.Combining practical engineering,the result shows that the applicability of variable refrigerant volume air conditioning system consists in building itself functions and there is no direct relationship with construction scale.In large public buildings,as long as the air-conditioning system was chosen reasonablely and designed correctly,it will play an improtant role in energy efficiency of buildings.
