Review and analysis of service load data of RNLAF (R)F-104G aircraft

1985
An analysis has been made of acceleration recordings made during 9500 flights of Lockheed (R)F-104G fighter aircraft. The load experience per flight is a stochastic whose distribution turns out to be fairly well approximated by a Weibull distribution. The observed variation in load experience between aircraft flying the same duty is studied in detail. In a final discussion, guidelines for future fatigue load monitoring systems are developed.
