Study on simulation of filling construction and impact from parameter of rockfill material for concrete face rockfill dam

The assessment on whether the simulation model can satisfy the reference for the construction requirement is made with the deformation of rockfill body,and then the larger existing disparity between both the finite element calculation result and the actual observed values is further decreased.Based on the stress and deformation characteristics of the concrete face rockfill dams with the heights over 100 meters,the layered filling of the dam body zoned filling in the numerical analysis is deeply discussed combined with the observed prototype data of dam deformation;with which the problem from mesh simplification of the stage construction of dam is solved and the effective proportion between the layering thickness and the dam height for the body of concrete face rockfill dam in the simulation analysis concerned is also presented with great enhancement of calculation efficiency and effective prediction of the deformation of the dam body.Simultaneously,the impact from parameter of rockfill material is obtained through the study made on the impact from the dam body deformation on the rockfilling parameter for the dam,that lays the basis for the design and the experimental study of the dam as well.
