Determination of the Glibenclamide in Poria and Rhizoma Dioscoreae Tablets by TLC-Scanning

[Objective] To establish a Thin Layer Chromotography Scanning(TLCS) method for determining glibenclamide in the poria and rhizoma dioscoreae tablets.[Method]TLCS was adopted,Glibenclamide could be determined simultaneously by dual wavelength TLC-Scanning(λS=300 nm,λR=350 nm) after the extracts were developed by chloroform∶cyclohexane∶ethanol∶formic acid(8∶13∶1∶1) on self-made GF254 plates.[Results] It showed a good linearity between 1.4-8.4 μg which the correlation coefficient was 0.994 5.The average recoveries were 101.7% 100.1% and 98.85%,RSD were 4.10%,3.10% and 3.96%.[Conclusion] The method is simple,rapid and reproducible.It can be used for determining glibenclamide in the poria and rhizoma dioscoreae tablets.
