In utero infections may result in failure of conception, embryonic deaths before two months, abortions, stillbirths, or the birth of weak calves which often die. This article reviews the more common infectious causes of bovine abortion and presents some diagnostic approaches which may assist in the detection and control of these infectious microorganisms.
